Transportation Projects

	The primary goal for this project was to bring this principal rural arterial roadway to the current FDOT’s resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation (RRR) and safety standards. Conditions to consider on this project were the deterioration of pavement asphalt and markings. There were drainage issues in terms of efficiency of pipes and structures. Guardrails were also below FDOT standards. There was extensive roadway damage due to high volume of traffic by trucks in this area. Highway safety was of great concern given the high percentage of accidents, which have included fatalities. CSI provided special inverted profile markings, rumble strips on roadway shoulder, milling & resurfacing, replacing non-functional side drains, replacement of existing TMS loops & pull box, placement of new guardrail, updating guardrail end anchorage assemblies, pavement markings, pavement design with Superpave Asphaltic concrete, traffic control plans, construction cost estimate, and specification.
